Susan Dorsey is an educator & Artist-Specializing in Interdisciplinary Collaboration, Curriculum Design, Inquiry, & STEAM Education (Science, Technology, Engineering, the Arts and Mathematics). Her experience includes a stint as an Education Coordinator for School Programs at the Walters Art Museum, a National Geographic Certified Educator and a 2021 Grovenor Teacher Fellow.
Susan graduated with a Masters in Biology from Miami University (Oxford, OH) and a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the Maryland Institute College of Art. She combines her art and science backgrounds as a means of storytelling, while building partnerships to create innovative, interdisciplinary curricula that empowers the next generation of changemakers. She maintains a reflective teaching practice informed by equity research, and has exhibited in galleries throughout Maryland. Susan received the 2019 Eastern Region Museum Educator Art Educator Award, and the 2017 Maryland Museum Art Educator of the Year Award.
