Harmony in the Hub: Uniting Baltimore's Music Community with Kariz Marcel and Ashley Alexander

Kariz Marcel, a New York-born and Baltimore-Virginia-raised music producer and social entrepreneur, joins forces with Ashley Lomax, a talented singer, songwriter, and music curator, to create a vibrant and diverse music collective at Blakwater House. Kariz's musical roots span 90’s Hip-Hop, Go-Go, and Baltimore Club Music, and he founded the Kariz Kids afterschool program, fostering a passion for music in young minds. Notably, he was selected for the prestigious One Beat international cultural diplomacy exchange program in 2019.
Ashley, on the other hand, boasts an impressive background, having worked with major companies like Live Nation and toured with renowned artists such as Janet Jackson and Kanye West. Together, they co-curate a Spotify Playlist featuring Baltimore-area music, showcasing their commitment to fostering collaboration and creativity within the local music scene. As founders of Blackwaterhouse Music, they have created a space for artists to thrive and connect in Baltimore's rich music community.
